Open Access Policy
JOSEM is open access (OA) which means free access to information and unrestricted use of electronic resources for everyone. All contents published by this journal is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution.
Plagiarism Policy
Acts of plagiarism are violations of academic policy and will not be considered in this journal. The ideas or words are allowed with proper attribution or permission from published or unpublished source. JOSEM will check the plagiarism using software at initial phase before sharing the paper to the reviewer.
Publication Ethics
JOSEM follows a double blind peer-reviewed model for an article to publish in this journal. The publication ethics is mainly based on the guidelines and standards developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Research Ethics
Articles submitted for possible publication in the Journal must respect animal welfare during research. The authors should follow international, national and/or institutional guidelines for animal care and use.
If the study includes human subjects, must have taken prior approval for human subjects research from related ethics committee, compliance with all relevant ethical regulations, and confirm that written consent has been obtained from all patients.
Article Withdrawal Policy
Articles can only be withdrawn if they are in review phase and aren't published online. Once the articles are published online and indexed, they can't be withdrawn as they are associated with doi. To withdraw article before the final acceptance notice is send, the authors must write a withdrawal letter with explanation as why the manuscripts need to be withdrawn. The letter must be signed by all authors.
Copyright and Licensing Policy
For all articles published in the Journal, copyright is retained by the authors. Articles are licensed under an open access Creative Commons license, meaning that anyone may download and read the paper for free.
